Neck Stretches

V. Gently lean forward until you feel a stretch in the front of your chest and shoulders.
  • Shoulder Circles
    • Sit or stand with your back straight. Raise just your shoulders up towards your ears. Move them back, down, and then forward in a circle. Repeat, moving the shoulders in a circle going forward.
  • Chin Tuck
    • Stand straight or lie down on your back. Tuck your chin in and lengthen the back of your neck. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat. It may help to stand up against a wall during this exercise. Try gentle pushing your chin with two fingers while trying to flatten your neck against the wall. If you do this exercise lying down, try using a small rolled up washcloth under your neck. Push down into the washcloth when tucking in your chin.
