About this topic

Acute fatty liver of pregnancy is also called AFLP. It is the buildup of fats in the liver during pregnancy. Too much fat in the liver can cause liver damage. AFLP is rare. It most often happens at the end of pregnancy. It is sometimes not found until after the baby is born. There is no exact treatment. The baby is most often delivered right away after a woman is found with this condition. ‚

What are the causes?
