  • MCH is the Hb concentration per RBC count. It has limited value in classifying anemias.
  • Normal range: 27 " “34 pg per red cell.

Increased In


  • Macrocytic anemias and infants as well as newborns

Decreased In


  • Microcytic and normocytic anemias
