Why is this procedure done?

This test is done to find out if you have Lyme disease. Lyme disease is an infection caused by a tick bite. You may have signs of this disease within a few days of a tick bite. Sometimes, it may take a few weeks after the tick bite for you to show signs. ‚

  • Check for the germ that causes Lyme disease
  • Learn about the cause of signs like rash, arthritis, memory loss, mood changes, or nerve problems
