About this topic

Dyslexia causes you to have trouble reading. It is a common learning disorder. Both children and adults may have it. People with dyslexia often do not have problems with their eyesight and intelligence. If you have dyslexia, you may just see jumbled letters. This makes reading very slow and hard. People without this disorder are able to make out words and sentences. ‚

What are the causes?

Doctors do not know exactly what causes this learning disorder. ‚

What can make this more likely to happen?

You are more likely to have dyslexia if someone in your family does. It may also be caused by a serious head injury. ‚

  • Extra help with learning
  • Classes to improve your success
